You can be in the heart of Mt Pleasant in minutes, downtown Charleston in about 25-30 minutes or to either the Isle of Palms or Sullivan’s Island beaches in about 15-20 minutes.
Made up of multiple subsections Hamlin Plantation features both townhouse and single family homes built in the lowcountry and neoclassical architectural style. Hamlin Plantation is broken into sections; The Sound, Madison, Waverly, The Village, and One Hamlin Place.
Located in the back of Hamlin Plantation the custom built homes in The Sound are the higher end homes that sit on larger lots and have more consistent water views of the marsh, lagoons, and intercostal waterway, while some have deep water access. The Village section is set primarily around a central pond. While some homes are custom some were built by John Weiland Homes, a national developer. Due to the green space designed into The Village, this section is a little more spacious than the Madison and Waverly sections. All of the Waverly section was built by John Weiland Homes in the early 2000s. The Madison subsection is made up of both townhomes and single family homes at the front of Hamlin Plantation and is probably the most affordable section. Madison features lots of Charleston style with double porches and lowcountry colors. One Hamlin Place is the newest section and is primarily townhomes.
